Prom and Formal Makeup

Hi friends,

So it's time for your formal/prom and your a little stuck on what to do about your makeup and hair. I have created a video on how to do your own makeup for this special event.
Many people are on a budget at this time of year as Christmas is coming up and school events can be costly but by following my fun tutorial you will be able to have great looking makeup without spending a fortune at the salon.

Here is a list of the makeup products used in my tutorial:
-       -Face Primer – Kryolan Perfect Matt ( other face primers you can find are the  Australis Face Primer or Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer)
-       -Revlon Colorstay Makeup with Softflex.
-       -Revlon Photo Ready Makeup.
-       -Kryolan Translucent Powder (Australis and Revlon also stock translucent powders)
-       -Savvy by DB Mineral Blend Loose Powder in Natural, bought from Priceline.
-      - e.l.f. Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder, I used the bronzing powder as my contour colour.
-       -BYS Blush in Pretty in Pink (from Kmart)
-       -Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Kit (you could also use a brow pencil)
-       -Napoleon Perdis Eye Primer (put a little amount of this on each eye lid before the eye shadow to help the colours stand out and last all night)
-       -For the eye shadow I used my NYX Box of Eye Shadows 112 Colors, the colours I used were: matt white for the inner corner of the eye and the middle, light grey for the middle of the eye and a little in the crease, dark grey on the outer eye and into the crease and matt black for the outer corner and into the crease.
-       -For the brow highlight and blending colour I used Savvy by DB (Priceline) Mineral Baked Eye shadow in Champagne.
-       -NYX Glitter Mania Pot, silver glitter (use only cosmetic grade glitter)
-       -Covergirl Eye Liner Pen in black.
-       -Napoleon Perdis Black Mascara.
-       -Australis Lip Pencil in Miss-Behave.
-       -Napoleon Perdis Devine Goddess Lipstick in Hess (it’s a nude colour)
-      - BYS Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Candy (Kmart)
-       -Nail polish I’m wearing is Ulta Watermelon (2 coats) and on top I have put the Sally Hansen Extreme Wear Nail Color in Disco Ball (2 coats)

You can substitute any of the above products for your favourites or less expensive if need be. If you would like to you can use a highlight colour on the cheek bones and ridge of the nose and cupids bow above your top lip and you can also use a makeup setting spray over your finished makeup look. You can also use a concealer after your foundation and before your powder if you need to. Also take a little makeup kit with you on the night for touch ups, include some powder or pressed powder, lipstick and gloss.

Have a wonderful time at your formal/prom and make it a night to remember xoxo
